Terms and Conditions of Sale
Please read this page carefully before placing an order with oldtownhaus. We recommend you keep a copy for future reference as we may from time to time modify our terms and conditions of sale.
Nothing in these terms & conditions of sale affects your statutory rights.
These terms of sale will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate any dispute arising under or in relation to these terms and conditions.
Therefore the only language in which we provide these terms of sale is English.
We reserve the right to only accept orders from those over 18.
Please ensure you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts, and you have full authority, power and capacity to agree to these terms and conditions of sale.
You must also ensure that the information you provide is accurate and complete and you are able to accept delivery of the products.
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability, and items in your shopping basket are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers.
Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order.
This email is NOT an acceptance of your order, just a confirmation that we have received it.
Unless you cancel your order, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and oldtownhaus will be completed when we email you to confirm the goods have been dispatched.
Payment must be made upon the submission of your order. We may withhold the products and/or cancel the contract between us if the price is not received from you in full in cleared funds.
Payment can be made by all the methods clearly advertised on the site once you proceed to payment.
We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event, for example, that we are unable to obtain authorisation for payment, that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item, that the item ordered is out of stock or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn, or that you do not meet the eligibility criteria set out within the terms and conditions.
We may also refuse to process and therefore accept a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion.
Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon dispatch of your order by oldtownhaus. You confirm that the debit/credit card being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it.
All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.
If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to oldtownhaus we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
We take reasonable steps to make sure our site is secure, all credit/debit card and other forms of payment transactions on this site are processed by shopify a secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details in a secure host environment.
In addition to the price of the products, there will be a delivery charge, the cost of which will be as stated before you complete your purchase. This will allow you the opportunity to terminate the transaction if you do not agree with the delivery charge.
Delivery and Returns Policy
While we are finalising our shipping options we have only three simple options
Free Collection and Local Delivery within a 10 mile radius.
£10.00 UK Standard Delivery 2-4 working days
£50.00 Courier service on very Heavy or Bulky items within the UK.
We will add more flexible options shortly.

Return your items within 14 days to receive a full refund. Simply send to the below. Returns are at the customer's cost but do contact us if we can assist with arranging a courier collection for larger items. For smaller/normal parcels we recommend MyHermes online as a cost effective method of return

Unwanted items must be returned within 14 days of receipt to qualify for a refund. You will be issued with a credit note for any items returned after this time up to 30 days. Unfortunately we are unable to exchange unwanted items with a different item, but you can of course re-order online.
Please ensure all items are packaged securely and sufficiently to withstand delivery. We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged in transit. Please take care to fully inspect your items to ensure you are happy with them before disposing of packaging as failure to do so may result in us being unable to refund you.
Refunds will be processed via the payment method used at the time of order. Return postage is at customer's own cost and liability.
If you believe your product is faulty or damaged do get in touch with us on 07876 471778 and we will do our utmost to resolve the situation for you as quickly as possible.
Prices on the website include British value-added taxes for European customers only. In addition to the price of the products, there will be a delivery charge which will be as stated when you pay for the product.
Customers purchasing from a country outside the UK will be charged for the item purchased and shipping costs only. Import duty will be invoiced to you directly from a shipper an import broker appointed by you. We recommend that you contact your local customs authority to determine a landed cost price prior to purchase completion.
If you are a customer whose Credit/Debit card is non-denominated in sterling, the final price will be calculated in accordance with the applicable exchange rate on the day your card issuer processes the transaction.
Prices for products are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect contracts, which have come into force.
Canceling Your Order Under the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR)
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you may cancel a distance contract to purchase a product or products from us at any time within 7 working days after the day you received the relevant products or products (subject to the limitations set out below).
In order to cancel a contract in this way, you must give to us written notice of cancellation.
If you cancel a contract on this basis, you must promptly return the products to us, in the same condition in which you received them, with all labels attached and in the original packaging.
If you cancel a contract on this basis, you will be refunded in full (including the cost of sending the products to you). However, you will be responsible for paying the cost of returning the product to us.
You will need to return the entire order to us by secure means to ensure it reached us in good condition, at your own cost.
We recommend that you insure the returns shipment as you are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and will be liable for damage to them until we receive them at our store. In case of dispute, we also recommend that you retain proof of sending.
Refunds will be issued within 30 days of us receiving your cancelation notice and the returned items.
Many of our items are vintage or made from natural or vintage materials, so slubs, marks, and patina are likely, this is the nature of the product and not a fault. All items are quality controlled before they are dispatched to customers, however, should you receive an item and you are unhappy with the condition then please contact us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org
Refunds and Exchanges
Your refund will either be credited to the original purchaser's credit card or we will issue a credit voucher, which will remain valid for 6 months. This credit/refund will include shipping costs for faulty items or for orders cancelled under DSR only.
If your order has been sent to a destination within the UK all sales taxes will be refunded. Outside the UK, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable through oldtownhaus. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly. As this may not be available for all countries, we recommend that you hire a customs broker if you wish to claim back duties on returned merchandise.
Please note card refunds may take up to 10 business days for your bank to complete depending on the processing time. This can vary greatly between card issuers and unfortunately, we are unable to influence this.
For an exchange, we will issue a credit voucher, which you can use to purchase a replacement item.
The voucher will remain valid for 6 months.
If you have received an item as a gift, you may exchange it for a credit voucher, which you can use against your next purchase.
This will be valid for 6 months.

oldtownhaus may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 01 January 2020.
What we do and do not collect
We may collect the following information:

- Other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers
We do not collect the following information:
- We do not retain or store your credit/debit card details
- We do not store any financial information of customers
