Our Guest Rooms...
We offer beautiful guest accommodation, combined with the chance to view a selection of 'FINDS' from our carefully curated, online interior store.
Having left East London in 2017, in the pursuit of a calmer, simpler life, we felt strongly that we wanted to build a business from our home and so we developed the idea of 'oldtownhaus' combining our love of photography, interiors, collecting antiques, art and rare books.
Our priority is that you are here to relax and enjoy all that Hastings has to offer, however in conjunction with our online SHOP some of the objects in the rooms are available to purchase, other pieces are arranged around the house but all items on the website can be made available for you to view during your stay, so please do ask.
Arranged over the top floor of our Grade 2 late Georgian Town House, the accommodation offers two double bedrooms and a private bathroom. The materials we have used reflect the local environment with a muted natural palette, lime plaster walls, exposed timber ceilings, luxurious washed linen bedding & beautiful salvaged furnishings.

A beautifully renovated characterful home in a great location, close to all the shops, restaurants and beach. The decor was simply stunning, extremely clean, with comfortable beds, it had everything we needed for our stay. Our hosts Nicky and Andreas have created such a calm and peaceful space and although shared it felt very private. They provide you with a delicious breakfast in your room, which includes fresh sourdough bread, orange juice and homemade granola. We managed to fit lots into our two night stay and enjoyed so much fabulous seafood while we were there, starting with lunch in The Crown on arrival. Nicky had recommended the Galleria in St Leonard’s for dinner and we were not disappointed, we also enjoyed the 30 min leisurely stroll back to Hastings along the coast. The highlight though for us was a moderately challenging walk from The Crown pub in Hastings to The Cove pub in Fairlight. As well as a ride on one of two funicular railways, wild ponies and a scramble down to the sea for a paddle the views were spectacular. Finishing with the squid and heirloom tomatoes at The Cove, which was superb. I’d highly recommend staying at this gorgeous accommodation.

My son and his girlfriend spent a lovely weekend staying in Nicola’s beautifully renovated Georgian house on one of the prettiest streets in old Hastings. They had the top floor to themselves and were given lovely linen dressing gowns to wear along with delicious fresh bread and home made jam. Close to all the lovely independent shops and sea front as well as a couple of local pubs including the Crown which serves excellent food with most ingredients sourced locally.

Really beautiful home and great location, would highly recommend. Even though its shared you have the whole top floor to yourself so feels very private. Nicola also gave us lovely breakfast bits which was a nice touch! would definitely stay again

Perfectly named, these really are two charming bedrooms, with a lovely private bathroom on the top floor of an amazingly restored, beautiful house, with a lovely friendly host. Definitely recommend a stay here.

The oldtownhaus is a beautiful, calm and relaxing place to stay. The monochromatic colour scheme with vintage treasures and restored furniture is elegant, the bed very comfortable, and the chunky granola delicious! We enjoyed a weekend of lovely coastal walks and exploring the vintage and antique shops of Hastings and St Leonards - there was no need for driving anywhere which was a bonus. Nicky is a friendly and helpful host and made excellent recommendations for places to eat - we tried The Stagg and the Rock a Nore Kitchen, both excellent, and within a few minutes walk. She and Andreas were most welcoming and we plan to return.

We've booked this trip for my birthday weekend and I can say with confidence this was one of the best Airbnb trips I've done so far. The room and the house is beyond beautiful and has all the amenities you may require. Exquisite products, quality bedding and mattress for a super comfy night sleep, beautiful afternoon light coming through the windows, beautiful views... Hastings has a great vibe and the village is great to explore. The house is conveniently located to explore everything on foot. Nicola is indeed a super host and she'll make you feel at home and super welcome. We couldn't recommend more. You wont regret it. We're already planning to go back ;)

We had the most wonderful time staying with Nicola. Communications before and during our stay were great and her guide to the area was such a nice touch. Her home is truly stunning and her hospitality was wonderful. Such a gem of a place, we will definitely be back!

"Had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Nicky and Andreas's very special home - so glad we found it! The interior of the house is so thoughtfully and beautifully put together and full of little eco-touches I appreciate and treats like the Meraki range in the bathroom. The beds were super cosy and comfortable with linen sheets and the shower was amazing - highly recommended for a stay in Hastings. The upstairs rooms are light and airy and a lovely place to sit and have breakfast (delicious sourdough) overlooking West Hill and the rooftops of Hastings. The location is perfect too, for the beach, East Hill and shopping and we enjoyed many of Nicky's recommendations for restaurants. Pies at the Albion pub, lunch (and supper!) at Maggie's and at Goat Ledge in St Leonard's. The highlight was supper at Farmyard in St Leonard's, great for a special occasion. Also enjoyed visiting Hastings Contemporary and A G Hendy (which you can see from the house!). Had such a memorable break and were blessed with sunshine, definitely hope to return again soon :)"

"Nicky is a wonderful host, going over and above to ensure a great stay. Fresh orange and milk in the fridge, freshly baked sourdough loaf and locally produced granola for breakfast was lovely. But by far the best was Nicky’s beautifully renovated Georgian townhouse, so tastefully thought out and decorated. Really did make our stay even more pleasurable! The location is a stones throw from the beach and some fab vintage and antique shops plus lots of lovely restaurants and pubs nearby if you want to go out for a drink or meal. Thank you and we’ll definately be back! X"

"The rooms that Nicola provides are really special. The location is perfect, the lovliest street in Hastings with everything on your doorstep. The sea, the art gallery, the green open space above for long walks, the shops and restaurants. We did it all! Inside the house is decorated beautifully in an understated but really elegant style. Every detail has been considered. The beds are comfortable and there is a good shower. A breakfast is provided in the room and you have a fridge. Nicola and her partner are gracious hosts but your privacy is fully respected. Highly recommend!"
Kim - August 2021
"Nicola’s home is probably one of the most beautiful, peaceful places I’ve ever stayed and I almost don’t want to share such a gem. The rooms are of an exceptionally high standard, immaculately clean with a lovely calming decor and extremely comfortable. Add to this the lovely bathroom toiletries , and the locally sourced bread and granola so thoughtfully provided for breakfast, this is the perfect place to stay. Plus, it is only minutes from everything the vibrant Old Town has to offer. Just amazing!"

"This is the most AMAZING HOUSE anyone will ever stay in, it was absolute perfection! Our hosts went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything to hand for an enjoyable stay, from high quality toiletries to fresh milk, orange juice, homemade granola and bread! The location was really close to the old town where there were plenty of great places to eat and lovely independent shops. We highly recommend staying with Nicky & Andreas, they are amazing hosts and we can't wait to return!"

"Our short stay in Hastings was wonderful. The house is absolutely beautiful (such care and attention to design) and Nicky was a great host, making sure we were comfortable and well-informed about local places to eat out and to visit. Everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast provisions were generous, with the delicious bread a thoughtful feature. Thanks so much for the lovely holiday Nicky. We would definitely stay again."

"Happy you, if you choose to stay at oldtownhaus in Hastings. Nicola and Andreas who treat you as old friends, have sensitively restored this Georgian house with an honest aesthetic full of texture, grace and beauty. Calm and quiet it offers breathing space from the noise of contemporary life. Although cosseted in your surroundings you are just a pebbles throw from all the delights that Hastings has to offer and beyond, with everything literally on your doorstep...and then of course there are the fantastic roof top views. Staying at Oldtownhaus certainly doesn’t disappoint. Thank you Nicola, Andreas, Mildew and Louis for sharing your beautiful home."
Lucinda - June 2021
"My friend and I took a last minute trip to Hastings, Nicola’s beautiful home was the perfect rest bite from the city. A short walk to the beach, surrounded by quaint and quirky independent shops, we stayed in the top floor of her idyllic townhouse which was spacious, private and peaceful. Thoughtful details like the lovely linen bedding and towels, nice toiletries and sourdough bread for breakfast with little jams made it feel like a luxury boutique hotel - but with the soul of a well loved and cared for home. Nicola was very friendly and easy going, she gave us some great local tips. I would highly recommend a stay at Old Town Haus and would visit again :)"

"We couldn't recommend this place enough! Nicola and Andreas are wonderful hosts and were even suggesting places to visit before we arrived. The house is beautifully designed, we felt like we were staying in a spa! The attention to detail and personal touches really made us feel comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious :) the location of the house is perfect, just a stone's throw from the beach and in the middle of the old town. We would love to come back soon x"
